Discover the new free streaming service at Argos: affordable Sky Glass alternatives on sale now | Daily record

Sky’s innovative Glass TV is changing the game for British households with its dish-free, internet-enabled streaming service.

This currently offered 4K display delivers sports, movies and entertainment straight to your living room, and its easy installation has made it a hit.

Sky Glass does come with a catch, though: adding extra channels can push the monthly cost up to £26, potentially leading to higher bills.

But now there’s Freely, a new player on the streaming market that won’t cost you a cent. Freely launched last month and is packed with features such as an extensive TV scheduler, live pause options and personalized recommendations.

It even offers a mini guide for a quick look at what’s currently going on and what’s to come. For those tempted by the prospect of free live TV streaming without an antenna, many TVs now come with free pre-installed, mirroring Sky Glass’ approach. These TVs are quickly gaining popularity, reports the Mirror.

Retail giant Argos recently announced price cuts on these high-end TVs, and it seems like customers can’t get enough of them. Some liberally equipped models are listed as ‘in demand’ and ‘fast selling’.

Take, for example, the Hisense 50 Inch 50E78NQTUK Smart 4k UHD HDR TV. The launch price earlier this month was £599, but that has already been reduced to just £379. • VIEW THE DEAL HERE

If that sounds a bit big for your living room, there’s also a deal on the Hisense 43-inch Freely television, which now costs just £329 – down from £519 • SEE THE DEAL HERE
